Bartonsville Bridge |

The Bartonsville Bridge is located in Windham County, Vermont in the town of Rockingham. There are 3remaining covered bridges in this town and this is the longest at 151 feet. |

The view through the lattice work of the bridge is magnificent year round but especially in autumn. The clouds on this particular day made remarkable reflections on the river. |

At one time there were 17 covered bridges in Rockingham, floods and road improvement removed most of them. It is nice to know that covered bridges are now looked upon as historical landmarks and important to tourism.This bridge was rebuilt in 1983. |

Built in 1871 by Sanford Granger, this bridge is not only the longest in town but also one of the longest covered bridges left in the state. |
