Welcome to PJM TOOL & PLANT HIRE, a privately run, small British business, based near Lassay Les Chateaux.
Having permanently resided in France since 1999, working on a renovation project of our own, we quickly came across problems finding good quality "familiar" tools, plant and equipment to assist us with
our work. We also discovered that good local hire companies were few and far between, with limited availability on essential equipment and a very rigid approach to their hiring criteria.
Then often finding that when hiring an item for the day (8 hours),we would spend lhr collecting the item and lhr returning in, thus reducing the amount of time to complete our work.
We all know that jobs don't always run to plan, and those few extra hours really do matter when you have a project to finish.
We operate from 7AM - 7PM, 7 DAYS A WEEK, (no 2hr lunch breaks here) and have an understanding and flexible approach to our customers needs. Having undertaken similar projects to yourself, we am familiar with the problems associated with owning and renovating a property in France. Being City and Guilds qualified general builders and also Construction Industry Training Board qualified plant operators, we am always happy to offer any assistance and advice you may require.
Collecting your hire equipment is easy. You collect items from our depot, (it is worth phoning first for availability), or we will deliver direct and collect from site (rates vary with distance).
Free tuition is available on all equipment. With all hire equipment we offer up to 30 mins tuition for safe operating procedures. For larger pieces of equipment and machinery additional training will be charged at an hourly rate. Please ask for details.
For the safety of yourself, and others. you MUST be competent in the safe operating of any tools and plant you wish to hire. As with the Health and Safety at Work Act in the UK, you must use the necessary P.P.E. (Personal Protective Equipment) when operating our equipment, advice on this will be given at the time of hire.
All our prices are quoted in euros HT.
A hire contract will be entered into at the time of hire, in which standard HIRE ASSOCIATION EUROPE, terms & conditions will apply. (A full copy of these is available on request.) By signing our contract you agree to these terms & conditions.
At the time of hire 2 FORMS of ID will be required along with a DEPOSIT of either 800 euros or the full cost of 1 weeks hire (Whichever is the greatest for the equipment hired.)
All deposits will be refunded when equipment is returned as per our terms & conditions.
Equipment wi11 be charged for at the appropriate rate until it is returned to our depot.
All damage must be paid for (including parts & Labour)
