STEAK
This is a classic recipe - if you looking for a simple and yet classic recipe for steak, then this is it.
The main trick to great results from the grill is making sure that you don't put the meat on too early. Make sure that the coals have been going for at least 30 minutes...patience is a virture for the best results on the grill. Coals should look grey with lots of orange before you put the meat on the grill.
It should only take about four minutes on each - but time does vary widely. Because of the olive oil, the fire may stark up some, so make sure you don't put the steak on too early! |

From the days in Hawaii Kai
I remember learning how to barbeque from my brother Jim. He taught me this recipe for steak.
He also loved to make hamburgers with chopped onions and garlic for the grill.
Sometimes I don't like onions, so I remember not liking to make the hamburgers so much! But, if you finely chop a little sweet Maui onion and garlic, you can also make fantastic hamburgers for the grill too! |
