Cook for as long as you want, stirring occasionally. Be sure that tomatoes and other ingredients do not stick to the bottom of the pan and burn. The secret to this version is the long slow cooking.
Add the meat about the last 45 minutes. Make sure that you have poured the grease off the meat or meat balls.
As I mentioned earlier, if you are in a rush, use the prepared sauces in a jar. They are tasty, and they have already gone through the long cooking process. Just make sure that you add your own seasonings and herbs, mushrooms, and so forth.
Cook your pasta. Serve with a loaf of crusty French bread. Pour the wine of your choice and pass the parmesan or other hard grated Italian cheese.
In addition, a green salad is a healthy choice to go along with this meal. |
