My life, which has been rather eventful since my birth, took a turn for good fortune (at least that is how I have felt for the past few years!) in August 2001. It was pre-season and here we were a bunch of soccer players recruited and meeting our team mates and veterans of the team for the first time. It was on the practice field that I have gotten injured on countless occasions that I met the then Elizabeth Jane Brissette, now my wife (with a very long name: Elizabeth Jane Brissette Singh). Already you will notice that she has something in common with me, she goes by the name "Beth"... we both cut our names short so that people can call us quickly and with convenience ;-)

We have both been together since September 10th, 2001 and had our first argument on September 11th, 2001. Amazing! It is a very interesting story how we got together. It was the 7th of September (I think it was)... I just wanted a bus buddy to sit next to. So when I saw Beth pack her bags alongside mine, I was like "I am sitting next to you on the bus!" and then we got into the bus and played Knots and Crosses (tic-tac-toe) and Dots. She decided it was too biring and fell asleep. We were on our way to Canada to play a game. I fell asleep too next to a sleeping bunch of people... next thing I woke up and was less than a size-of-a-full-fist away from her lips. Damn... close one! I just didn't want to be slapped. Next thing, on lookers were like "damn it! you woke up!" Well I did and thank God for it because Beth would have thought I meant to do that! jeez. Well we had a transit and this is where the fun started! She fell asleep on my shoulder so I could not move and after hours of travelling, I needed to go to the little boys room- being a nice guy, I did not wake her up! We go to the border of the US and Canada- and boy oh boy!!! My bladder was screeching!! with pain! I was blue in the face! I got off the bus and ran straight for the bathroom where I pissed for a LONG time! Three brothers pissed and left... and I was still there pissing, I was scared, thought I was going to die or something.

Anyway, June 25th rolled around and we got married at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Lubec, Maine. From there, after two days, we went to Honolulu Hawaii courtesy a gift from my parents. That was an amazing time although we could not got to the Big Island and see some live Volcanos (well you can guess which one of us wanted that!- you will never see a colored brother trying to go too close to death!)
