"Joey?"
For some reason, that one whispered word made her skin tingle. "Pacey?" She
whispered back.
They had been lying side by side in the dark for several minutes, both afraid to make
the tiniest movement. She had been staring up at the ceiling, listening to the sound
of his breathing, and knowing that he was still awake.
Joey held her breath and waited for him to continue.
"Pacey?" She repeated, turning her head slowly toward him. She couldn't see much
in the dark, but she could feel him looking at her. Her heart started thudding in her
chest.
His fingers lightly grazed her cheek. Her eyes slid closed as she savored the
sensation, the pounding of her heart spreading throughout her body and turning into
a thousand tiny sparks that played on her skin.
Her soft sigh was caught in his mouth. His kiss was tentative, questioning. Joey
turned fully on her side and held his face, deepening the kiss. She traced his lips
with her tongue, teasing and tormenting him until he caught it lightly between his
teeth and started sucking, teasing her in return.
Pacey groaned and pulled away, looking at her with intense blue eyes. "Jo," he
rasped.
"Yes," she answered, pulling him closer and kissing him again.
He held her tight, his hands moving urgently over her back. She felt his arousal
pressing insistently against her. Joey reached down to hold him in her hand, rubbing
up and down. She felt him smile against her lips as he moved over her.
"Not fair, Potter," he whispered against the tender skin on her neck. He nipped at it,
biting gently then licking lovingly with his tongue.
Joey giggled, giving him a little squeeze. "Oh?"
He lifted the hem of her shirt and pulled it impatiently over her head, taking a nipple
in his mouth.
"Oh," she sighed.
Pacey took his time, licking and sucking until she started to move restlessly in bed,
urging him to continue. She pushed down his boxers and tore off his shirt, kissing his
chest while she kept stroking his shaft with her hand.
He caught her wrists and held them down, placing a moist trail down from her
breasts to her navel. His tongue dipped quickly into her belly button, sending tingles
spreading outward from her stomach. He gently pulled off her underwear and
continued tracing a path further down.
He released her wrists so that he could touch her. His thumb found her most
sensitive spot and pressed against it, her wetness bathing his finger. Joey's eyes
were shut tight, her hands clenched tightly at his shoulders.
"Pacey…" she said breathlessly.
"Joey?"
"Pacey," she said again.
"Joey."
Her eyes opened. She shot up in bed, clutching the blanket to her chest. She
blinked and squinted, the bright sunlight from the window registering for the first
time.
"Oh, God." She moaned.
Pacey was looking at her with a worried expression on his face. His hair was still
damp from a recent shower, and he was already dressed, standing beside the bed
with a steaming cup in his hand. "You okay?"
Joey felt her face flush hotly. She ran a hand awkwardly through her messy hair,
unable to meet his gaze. "Yes. What time is it?"
"About ten-thirty. Got you some coffee." He placed the mug on the nightstand
beside her and started to leave. "I'll let you get dressed."
She watched his back. "What time did you get up?"
He turned. "Around nine, I think. You want to sleep in some more?"
She shook her head. "No. Thanks for the coffee."
"You're welcome." He closed the door quietly behind him.
Joey fell back down on the bed, groaning aloud. "Oh, GOD!" She was mortified. How
could she have dreamt about Pacey that way? And how long had he been standing
there while she was calling his name in her sleep?
She closed her eyes, remembering how real everything had felt. His hands, his
mouth, his… tongue. She squeezed her eyes against the memory, and an image of
the way he had looked this morning came up instead. He was wearing a shirt that
made his eyes look even bluer, and she had wanted to jump up and start kissing him
right then and there.
She opened her eyes and gulped down some coffee to jolt her back to reality.
