She blinked repeatedly, letting her eyes adjust to the dimness of the room. They had fallen asleep. He lay behind her, his arms snugly hugging her to him. She slid her hand along his forearm and intertwined their fingers. Her body felt deliciously sore, but sated. And loved.

He kissed the nape of her neck. "Sleep well?"

Joey smiled in the darkness and turned in his arms to face him. "Have you been up all this time?" He was only inches away from her, and already she had to resist the urge to start kissing him again.

Pacey nodded. "A few hours. You hungry? We never had dinner."

Her stomach growled in answer to his question. They laughed and he got up from bed, pulling on his boxers while she watched unselfconsciously.

He leaned across the bed and used his arms for support, brushing his lips lightly against hers. "Why don't I make us some breakfast?"

She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him ardently, leaving them both a little breathless afterwards. "I'll help you." She replied cheerfully.

"No, you can stay here." He insisted, and then left the room.

She couldn't wipe the silly grin off her face. She let the feeling of complete happiness linger within her for a few minutes before throwing on his shirt and following him to the kitchen.

Eggs were sizzling in the pan and Pacey was putting bread in the toaster. She took a couple of glasses from the cupboard and poured juice, then sat on the counter to watch him.

He looked beautiful in the early morning light. She wanted to run her fingers through his tousled hair, wanted to kiss his exposed chest. She wanted to lose herself in his sleepy eyes and stay here with him forever.

"Pacey?"

He turned from the stove, taking her outstretched hand. "Yeah?"

She pulled him closer and hugged him with all her strength. "Thank you." She whispered, her chin resting on his shoulder. "You made everything perfect."

"My pleasure, Potter." He replied, playing with her hair. He pulled away a bit to look at her thoughtfully. "You do know that you've been driving me up the wall since we were in high school, don't you?" He grinned.

"Really?" Joey said in surprise. "Why didn't you say anything?"

"And lose my sparring partner? No way. It was way too much fun to see you annoyed, Jo. Besides, can you imagine what would have happened?" He shuddered in exaggeration. "It would have been ugly."

She smiled and kissed his ear, whispering her answer. "I would have lost my virginity sooner."

His answer was cut off by the smoke coming from the neglected eggs. "Damn!" He exclaimed, removing the pan from the stove.

Joey hopped down from the counter and looked at the black remains of their breakfast. "Oh, Pace, I'm sorry." She rubbed his back consolingly. "I ruined your cooking."

Pacey tousled her hair playfully, kissing her forehead. "You did. But I love you anyway." She felt his lips curve up against her skin.

"Good." She grinned and kissed the base of his neck. "But you know what?" She began, looking over her shoulder as she pulled him back to her bedroom. "Suddenly I'm not so hungry anymore…"
