restless
and torn in liar despair
fallen and in regret
lost and left alone with broken dreams
not knowing who you are
the shadows envelope
thinking you know life all too well
to have ideals
you reach out
the road is not easy
sadness lists in beauty and ugliness
change will come
and you pick yourself up
and go on even if the heart will not follow
empty
and then you find you are somewhere
joy returns
until the next heartbreak
and you become stronger
your mind clearer
still left a leaf in the wind
