Dance

You toy with my affection
And lovingly caress
Each single
String and strand of wisdom
To withdraw
The truth which I must confess

A dancing fool I return - yet still ever do I fear
After sentiments expressed
To reconcile our differences
I have no trust left

In beauty and elegance I am outclassed
These imprints you have left
From dancing upon my ego
Have rendered me inept

So dying dreams do flounder
Only for new ones to replace
Vanity distills reality
And I am a fool for the illusion of a face

For it is a fool that I do dance
And it is a fool that I will die
It is a fool that I profess my love today
And shall bring about this, our mutual
Demise
