My name is Kristen and I am 26 years old. I have had a long struggle with my weight as most people have. I don't really want to dwell on that here because that's what I'm paying the psychologist for, right? During my research of the lap band procedure, I have run across a lot of great sites. What I enjoy reading the most are other people's journals so that I can get an idea of what people have gone through. Even though most people's journeys are completely different from one another, it seems that most wls patients go through a similar progression of emotions. I found that comforting and eventually I realized that I was ready to start my journey. I used to hate when people would call it a "journey" and sometimes I do still cringe. But, it is the most accurate term for the process and I wanted to share mine in the hopes that maybe someone will learn something from my experiences. Thanks for reading!
