This week has been an interesting one. it was a bit busy...i had 2 midterms, but it was fun as well. baseball playoffs have helped keep things light, though i guess i coulda studied a bit more. oh well. today is game 3 for both the indians/mariners and the a's/yankees. im watching espn gamecast for the indians game right now...and if cc sabathia can just hold on, and settle down, he should be alright. he only gave up one run, while sele gave up 2--all in the first inning. i think that the indians definitely have a chance against seattle. their hitters are quite good, and their pitching CAN be good, though it's usually an adventure out there. especially with john rocker. yikes. as for the a's, theyre up 2-0 against the yanks, with game 3 today in oakland. im pretty sure it's over. as good as mike mussina is, barry zito is better...and at home too. i know this is premature, but it's about time the yankee reign ended. derek jeter has 4 world series rings in his first 5 full years of major league play. that's ridiculous. but it's ending. who knows, this may be the start of an a's dynasty...though i doubt it considering they can't afford to keep players for more than a few years. also, if jason giambi leaves after this year, it could be all over. that would be sad. i wish the a's got more fan support...that would be really great. if they sold out every game, they coupld prolly afford to keep some guys, and go after high-profile players. but alas, it's not meant to be. eric chen and some other guys are going to the a's game today...im so excited for them. im sure it will be a great time...especially if the a's win. im sure there's nothing like a playoff atmosphere.

someone i know is looking into buying a car. he makes a decent living, and can afford a $30,000+ car. so he's thinking about it. the lexus. the bmw. the acura. OR he can go for a subaru or something cheaper than $30,000. i think he should, and ive suggested that he do so. i never saw the big deal with luxury cars. it's just something to drive. i dont think it really matters if the ride is a little bumpy or a little smooth. if the pothole is big enough, it will be felt, no matter what the car is. also, i just dont see the need to buy a car that costs so much. but im not a car expert. maybe the lexus runs much better than the subaru, and never has problems, which could save lots of time and money in the long run. or not. a car is a pretty big investment, no matter what the car is. now, im not saying that everyone should drive a corolla or anything like that, i mean, what a person does with their money is their business. but i just think that other things can be done with that money than just spending it on a car.

ok. it's 4:50, by the clock in the computer center. the indians just finished CRUSHING the mariners, 17-2. omar vizquel had 6 rbi's. how awesome. i guess sabathia did hold up. he had a shaky first inning, but settled down afterwards. marvelous job. go indians. the mariners are going DOWN. downtown to chinatown :)
