i know i talked briefly about my roommates before, but i would like to mention them again. theyre great guys, both of them. i dont have any real reason to complain about them, which i am really thankful for. in fact, they probably have reason to complain about me, if anything, considering i dont clean my room and stuff. and im sorry about that. i really am. i will clean my room after i finish finals, i promise.
there are only 8 days remaining until "the lord of the rings" part 1 comes out. there's been major marketing lately. posters, tons of commercials, plus the burger king tie-ins, and 4 different making-of specials on 4 channels. ive seen them all, and they do show more bits from the actual movie. it looks promising. plus, people who have pre-screened it have written stuff online, and those have been positive as well...i havent seen one negative one. but im really looking for one, so all the fan-boys like myself wont overdrive the hype (which i prolly already did) and it will be disappointing to everyone who isnt a fan. but regardless of how it turns out, im sure it will be better than harry potter because potter wasnt a great movie. it followed the book pretty closely, but that was about it. it didnt really flow at all. plus, i think lotr delves more deeply into emotions and reactions of the characters, whereas potter is just a kiddie book, with kiddie emotions. sure it's fun, and the kids in the movie are cute, but that's about it.
sheesh...i dont write much meaningful stuff...just kinda rambling on about my life. obviously it has to do a lot to do with tolkien, but not much else. how sad.
