so i have been talking to my dad about girls and stuff lately. i mentioned to him two weeks ago that i was thinking about girlfriends and dating and stuff like that in the (near?) future. it's kinda funny, actually. i think he is more excited about this than me. every chance we had to talk last week, he would give me advice about girls. i appreciated what he was saying and all, and he didnt say anything whack (i think), so it was alright. the reason i think he's so excited is that i think he wants a daughter really bad, seeing as how for 22 years, in his home, all there have been were boys, 3 of them. so a girl would be a refreshing, welcome addition. when people visit our house, from church or wherever, both of my parents actually get quite excited at the sight of a girl. they all talk to her and are nice to her. interesting stuff. i feel kinda bad actually for my mom. for 22 years, like my father, she had to deal with 3 boys, and she had no daughter to have female bonding with. im sure she's wanting a daughter as much as my father. so ladies out there, all 100,000 of you or however many (i lose count so easily), take note. ok. just kidding about that last sentence.
well, april is here, which means baseball season has arrived. finally! after months of football and basketball (both sports in which i follow sucky teams), baseball season has started. the indians, giants, and a's are teams that i can actually be proud to say that i am a fan of. unfortunately, only the giants won today, but it's just the first day. there are 161 games left. this i am looking forward to for sure. with cable, there is bound to be at least one game on each day. how great! i think that i enjoy baseball more than any other sport. i dont know why, maybe it's because the teams i like are actually win more than once a month. but i think the game fascinates me--the way pitchers can make a ball do crazy things, the athleticism and timing involved in a double play, the excitement of a home-run, the tense ninth inning one-run save situation with men in scoring position and only one out...the list goes on and on. how fun it would be to be a baseball player. i know if i had to pick a profession, that would be it. a major league baseball player. they play for like 15 years, their bodies dont face wear and tear like football players, there's no salary cap to contend with...nice nice nice. how fun.
ok. enough rambling. see you wednesday, dear reader(s).
