Information is from papers prepared by Juliette Boyers Baker.  She brought us to Oliver Brock who married Jemima Chalfant.  I, Lou Reynolds, put this information together.  The lists of names came from censuses.

Oliver or Oddy Brock, early head of family in N.J. b.  about 1690.  Married about 1720 to Martha.  He died about 1781.

           Richard Oliver Brock (1818-1898) Mar. Jemima Chalfant (1817)  (daug. Of Robert Chalfant and granddaughter of Solomon Chalfant of Chester Co. PA  Oliver was born in 1818 in Greene Co. PA.  Oliver and Jemima Chalfant married Oct. 22, 1838 in Monongalia Co. VA.  She was born in 1817.  They followed Oliver�s brother, Joseph, to Wetzel Co. WV between 1850 and 1860.  Oliver died May 17, 1898.  His death notice was found at New Martinsville, WV.

This family lived in Greene Co. PA in 1850.  In 1860 they lived on Brock Ridge in WV Wetzel Co.  Procter Dist.  Same in 1870.  In 1887 they moved to Shenango, Greene Dist.  Wetzel Co. WV.

Salathiel, of Monroe Co. OH married Mary Ellen Watson b. 1850 and died March 25, 1927.  She was from Tyler Co. VA Lone Tree 8 mile Ridge from Reader to Middlebourne.  Salathiel and Mary Ellen were married Aug. 14, 1873 and lived on Brock Ridge until 1887, when they moved to Shenango.

Their children were:                George Thomas (1874-1945) mar. Ida Davis.  They had a daug. Mary (Marie Firoved)  she married Landis Firoved from Shelby, Ohio:  Children:

Irvin Earl Brock, son of Jemima, was born Mar. 12, 1899 on Shenango.  He left there to work for the Hope gas company.  He went to Oklahoma as a very young man.  He returned to Wetzel co. and married Gail McAllister.  They lived in Clarksburg, WV.  She became very ill and returned to her home to die.  (Apr. 1921).  Irvin met Asia Mildred Donham in 1923, married Dec. 15, 1923.  They lived in Fairmont, WV.  And then built a stone house on Rt. 73 toward Morgantown.  Moved into the house in 1940.
