Do you know???
1. Do you know we helped Songkla Hash to get started? Actually Songkla Hash wrote to Bangkok Hash for help, being a new Hash, they were not exposed to Hash culture as even their members were all virgin Hashmen, except a few and these few belonged to those better behaved Hashes, so no use in imparting Hash culture to them. Guess who do they call? PJ Animals, of course. We went, we drank, we sang and we cultured. They ran out of beers and we drank them dry even in the nearby restaurants. They never knew Hash could drink that much. Do you know how they ran then. Before the run started the GM would announce the direction of the run and where the checks could be found. This was done so no one could get lost.
2. Our first Ladies Night was in 1978 @ Jaya Puri Hotel in PJ, which is now known as PJ Hilton. Because we were such a young club Danger and I had to book the hotel through the Company which employed us. We booked for 75 persons and guaranteed to pay for it. Guess how many tickets were sold the Monday before the big night. Only 10! We nearly wanted to file for bankruptcy. But guess how many actually came on the big night itself? 100! That's bloody Hash for you! (A note from your "WetMaster": For this year's Ladies Night that to be held on 2nd Dec. 2000 at Pan Pacific Hotel, Glenmarie, up to 13th Nov 2000, more than 80% of tables had booked.)

3. Have you all heard of The Hash Marathon? Do you know PJ Animals organized the first and only Hash Marathon in the world even till today. Yes, 26.4 miles of Hash country with shiggy and hills. We organized it for two years with help from Mother Hash as well. One of the prominent front runners was Dr. Chen Mun Hin, the DAP's MP and Seremban GM then.
4. The first ever "Save Wildlife" Campaign was initiated and organized by PJ Animals in 1980 after our 200th Celebration Run in PJ Club. Basically we re-established the point that we are not against women running in the Hash. ONLY against women running in the Harriers! We also agreed that mixed Hash should be called Mixed Hash or Harriettes or Harriers/Harriettes like Gasing Hill or Bath Hash. We also agreed that celebration runs and the weekly Hash day should be strictly kept for men only. GUESS WHO WAS ONE OF THOSE WHO STAUNCHLY AGREED AND EVEN WANTED TO KEEP THE DAY AFTER THE CELEBRATION TO BE MEN ONLY? Seletar Hash! I guess time has changed. Old age can soften a lot of things even principles. See attached Minutes of Meetings (Page1) (Page2) of this gathering on 23rd November 1980.
