Buy at Art.com when I came home the Rhody had popped

two months of rain made yesterday's
          three hours

of sunlight ethereal      we turned the bend
of the pond onto a beaver house

          growing a green roof

and beyond down the way, onto an apple
orchard in angel-white glory        Canadian geese

fed on grass seed and pink light and
even the cars bumping over the bridge

couldn't take away from the blue
turtle crossing the pavement, maple

and oak trees shaking little pea-green fists
          making summer soon

      and possible
