rainbow fish for the delusional
hang on the moon sliver just above
the horizon hang from silver coattails
crawl under the tide's blanket
and fill red pails with sugared sand
the rain dissolves snow slippers from my feet
mixes the oldest stories into decomposing leaves
made new in bed like love
allegreto gleam the stars in a dream
never navigated -- pictographs on cave walls
stare up like fish eyes on ice
at the grocery store
fronts clash, make us high on ozone
and if for a moment, Newton's apple
fell up, wed see our shadows
like an inverted cloud
wed dance skyclad at Stonehenge
take care in cooking and dusting
paint au plein air snap wintergreen
Lifesavers in the closet, make sons and daughters
eat doughnuts for breakfast
crawl under a crazy quilt, warm
warm, all of us
warm
