unscrew mountains

beyond paint, all
she understands
are dead leaf forms

allegretto gleams
of grease-stained fingers
sharing ribs

with mammal wolf �
a sea-other reality winds
through labyrinth harps

as she cuts milk teeth
on dark edges thrown
by apple-pie lanterns

scrubs her palimpsest
to reduce evolutionary
excesses to undertones

this other-world inception?
a bucket of lilies caught
in the universe's sneeze

an earth tremor
that anagrammatized
her dreams
