cheese: addiction to mediocrity

the glue of lethargy
the relevance of pastiche
creative spark of dilettantes

cheese breeds well in poetry
little mushrooms
blind nubbins of tastelessness

staunch ally of posers and gimps
geeks twerps nerds and druts
pine and wail for the cheese of
just plain average
good enough
close but no cigar

that very legume of veracity
cold sore on inspired lips
bitten tongues of integrity
stringy celery for tenured dentures

mealy apples in the sturdy barrel
lemons less zest or piquant pangs
brown bananas brown oranges
brown wingtips
brown paper bags
brown uphostery

spores of cheese-think
insidious vesicles
invidious dead insects
litter the window sill
of a perfect world
of thouness and whatness
and privy seals
all in a row
