Bringing the Family Together

I thought it was the cheese, little things
like cheese and Sunday drives
and those flashes of light between the dark seconds
upsetting them. I told them vacation

but at the time we were working for a farmer
diggin' an plowin' it felt like that at least
almost like an exploding spaceship
the one you know you'll be boarding soon
almost like night come too soon, little things

like a breeze come up from nowhere as strong
as it had to be for me to remember it now
lilac breeze jasmine tickle I told them I told them.

Thought I told them remember it now, boarding too soon.
