Crime Wave

Law round here, they got it made.
Most days is just a long slow drive
twenty or so times up and down Main.

They split a shift when its time to be cuttin' hay.
Bein' as most got land to run, bunch a good ole boys.

Welcome to Haileyville Oklahoma
Home of the Haileyville Hornets!

The last frontier of rope burn and callous,
the stink of horse and hay, grass
cuts the air bleeding green mow.

      Life's Home
It ain't LA,
but it's fine as ice sweats on a glass of tea.

Slow down, through downtown
four blocks of commerce
two stoplights, and a red brick jail.

Had a crime wave just yesterday.

Sow slipped her pen, blazed pink right down Main, cornered
into the Git-n-Go, knocked down a tower of Coke-Cola.

Real bad scene, cans spewin' rollin' under cars.
Coulda got ugly had someone slipped and fell.

Kids slappin' bare foot hollerin' like drunks at a football game.

"She went thata way
towards the railroad tracks
made a break for it
she ain't never comin' back"

We don't take kindly round here to pork don't know it's place.
Right around Christmas we'll be settin' the execution date.
