Hello!  Im Jennifer - wife, mother, student.
Camden Lock
On the Marne
Coonawarra
Another day at the races.
(Bolly in the carpark, darling).
A day at the races.
Cant think of what to say, so Ive pinched the question column from Good Weekend magazine, and applied them to myself.

Whats your idea of the perfect weekend?
A really long walk with my children, a perfectly tidy house being cleaned the day before so I dont have to spend time picking things up, sunshine, time to read, or do the Cryptic crossword, a video, perhaps a meal with good friends, church on Sunday morning.

What is your favourite film?
A difficult question, but I do have a few favourites such as Stalag 17 (William Holden) and A Month in the Country (Kenneth Branagh and Colin Firth).  The former?  I dont know, I just like it.  It has a lot to say about human nature, and the second because its a gentle film which also says a great deal about human fallibility and relationships.

What song do you never want to hear again?
Nothing in particular - any mass-produced techno rubbish.

What is your favourite sound?
Not sure about this one.  A champagne cork popping!  I can tell you my favourite smell though - an old book.

What talent do you wish you had?
To sing really beautifully.  Also, to sleep on cue.

What is your greatest extravagance?
Extravagance is such a relative word.  What is normal for some people might be considered extravagant by others.
But subjectively, if I take extravagance as something I perceive to indulge in with a bit of guilt, it would be spending a bit more on accommodation, clothing, things for the house etc. than what I can really afford.  Im not very scandalous really.

What would you never give up?
Having The Age delivered every morning.  Cant be civil to anyone until after Ive had breakfast and read the paper.

What would you never do again?
Everytime I go through a period of indecision, I vow never to be indecisive again.  I hate that part of myself.  Also, I have regrets for any jealousies and pettiness Ive shown in the past.  It would be nice to turn back the clock.

If there was one word left to you in the English language, what would it be?
Pudding.  Its such a lovely, sticky, plump word.

What do you find inspiring?
I find certain ordinary people inspiring, people who go through life having to endure a  hardship, perhaps caring for a disabled child without complaining.  Endurance is inspiring.  Also, certain music and literature inspires me. Anything which challenges me to be a better person is inspiring.

Who would you most like to meet?
My paternal (deceased) grandparents.  I was quite young when they died and I feel I never really got to know them.

What do you want more of?
Sometimes, a sense of direction.  Always - sleep.

What is your ultimate holiday destination?  Why?
France, Italy and England. So much to do, so much to learn, so much to eat, so much culture to soak up, so much money to get there ......
