Pj's Penned Prose Dedicated to all Mothers out there!
I hope you enjoy the following works. They are mine, and most written at an earlier time about my family.
Mommy's Pride and Joy (c) by PJ Patty 'See, Mommy, see? Issen! Wasat? Puppy?' The words of our child, so priceless to me, Echoed over and over, can he really be? So frightened were we upon learning I was with child.; Such a big responsibility for two so young, but he is worthwhile! Look down upon him with me love, at our sleeping son. 'Kiss-hug, night; Mommy and Daddy love you! The three of us are one.' From his curly tousseled hair, to his toes beneath the covers, What woman wouldn't be proud to say, 'I am Joshua's mother!' To think from our love was conceived this precious baby boy; Hug me tightly, for I fear I'm going to cry, for I love this bundle of joy! Sure there are trying times, sleepless nights, and messes to be cleaned; Toys to fix, tears to wipe, but it's all part of what being a parent means. Not all too very long ago we brought him home so small and new. Now he is an independant boy, who tells us, 'No, Me do!' Our baby is quickly growing up, and again, Mommy sheds a tear. He soon will be such a big, big boy, and, Oh Daddy! What do I hear? Hold on, my Dear, while I go check; what a tender sight to see! Clutching Teddy tightly he's holding out his hands, as he asks, "Me, Mommy! Get me?'

A Child's Prayer (c) by PJ Patty God Bless her Lord, my Muvver Dear, Whose voice I sometimes can't seem to hear; God Bless him Lord, my sweet ole' Dad, Even though he yells at me so when I've been bad God Bless my Grammas and Paps, who spoil me when they can, But I'm sure you know they have a firm hand! God Bless them, too my Aunts and Uncles; I know I've given them lotsa chuckles. God Bless them, Lord, all of my cuzzins; My gosh! There must be at least a good dozen! God Bless them Lord, my trusty friends, Who always have a helping hand to lend. God Bless her, Lord, my puppy so new, Who likes showing Mommy how she loves her shoes! God Bless my Teddy, Lord, who's always there, Especially at night when I've had a big scare. And God Bless the Three I admire the most; The Father Son, and Holy Ghost!

Teddy (c) by PJ Patty
There you are! Oh my precious dear; With whom I've shared so many smiles and tears. Though old, worn and tired, in you I can find A friend to hug, and help me find some peace of mind. Many times they have tried to take you, to make you leave; Let them show me another in whom I can believe! You coat may be worn, and mended in many places, But your love is what matters, not fame, not faces. As for your thinness, arrangements can be made To help out a friend, who by my side has stayed. Through thickness and thin, tears causing high waters, You've alwayscomforted me when my steps began to falter. What other people will say, well you know I don't care; For who could help but love such a cuddly old bear?
