This site has been developed as a learning aid for students taking the CHEM108, CHEM122 & CHEM124 lab courses at CCBC/Essex. There are two purposes involved:

1. To see a visual simulation of certain experiments to help you realize more clearly what you should see as the experiment's objective.
2. To help you determine whether or not you are doing the calculations correctly. These programs are designed to do the calculations involved in the various experiments done in these courses so that you, the student, can check that you are doing them correctly before submitting your final reports. If your answers do not agree within roundoff or calculator variations, then you should check that you have set up your problem correctly and/or you have not hit a wrong key on your calculator. The number of significant digits in the answers given may or may not be correct -- that would be for you to determine from the data used.
