Take JC, for instance. This 22 year-old babe tells us that he's turned on by confidence. "I love it when a girl carries herself well and she's proud of who she is and what she does," he shares. "You can see that (confidence) all the way across the room, because believe it or not, it's pretty rare." However, while JC is drawn to girls who are happy with themselves, he isn't into girls who let that self-confidence go to their heads and start acting stuck-up. "There's a fine line between conceit and confidence," he points out. Aside from a strong sense of self-esteem, the characteristics JC admires most in a girl are the same ones he values in his buds. "I look for the same things I look for in a friend, really," he shrugs. "First of all, honesty. Second of all, somebody who can make me laugh, 'cause I'm a pretty serious person, and patience, because this gig has us travelling to 100 different places." Sounds like JC's dream girl will also have to be okay with lots of long distance phone calls, too!
JC Chasez: Hey! I'm JC.
JC: I'm from the Washington, DC area.
All-Stars: How did you meet each other?
JC: We were all in the Orlando area. Justin and I were doing Mickey Mouse Club and Joey and Chris were working at Universal Studios. Being down in Orlando you're bound to run into people.
All-Stars: Is there a big music scene in that area?
JC: Well, yeah, now that everything's been happening everyone's trying to get a gig. There's [always] been a lot of talent down there because of the theme parks. A lot of people go down there to to the stage shows, and there's a recording studio which brings a lot of musicians down there. Plus, Miami is a four-hour drive away. It's pretty packed with talent. It's just undiscoverable because everyone is working at the theme parks.
All-Stars: Kind of an odd training ground.
JC: Yeah. It's good. It's kind of like how Atlanta shot out of nowhere. Babyface made the Atlanta scene. The pop scene is kind of Orlando's niche.
All-Stars: How long have you guys been together?
Chris: A long time!
JC: In our first year we were struggling to find management, and every day it was a four hour routine. Joey would get off work at around 9 o'clock at night, and we'd go into this warehouse, and we'd rehearse from like, 9 to 12, or 9 to 1--straight dancing and singing all night. Plus, during the day and in-between times we'd be doing just vocal rehearsals. We were working at least five hours a day plus, these guys were working full time at Universal Studios and they were going to school. We didn't take it lightly. We knew what we wanted to do and we concentrated on it. It's not like we got together and practiced for a half hour after dinner. Whenever we had free time, that's when we put our energy into it.
JC is still sad from the death of his dog, Grits. "I had a dog, but he died about six months ago," the 21 year-old tells. "We still havew a cat named Belle, but we haven't gotten another dog since."
As for JC, he relies on cuddling up with another easy-to-care for animal option. "Usually I keep a stuffed animal froma show to sleep with while we're traveling," the blue-eyed hottie saysJC: "Bluemchen is pretty and has personality!" "Actually I don't like judging people acoording to their physical appereance. For me the inner values are more important." JC is thoughtful, as he has to select a girl from the pictures. After a long back and forth, he has two pictures in his hands: Naomi Campbell and Bluemchen. "I have never seen Naomi live, but this picture is really fabulous.The clear look in her big eyes and the perfect formed lips- just like an art piece!" He has always found Bluemchen sympathetic: "We have met each other a lot in shows and always get on very well. Of course she looks pretty, but the most important thing in her is her great personality. A lot of people go on just about the appereance, but they shouldn't do that. It would be much more exciting, when you get to know each other very different!..."
Lance: We all got our character voices down. Our dream is to be South Park characters. JC: We want to write a South Park song for them.
The funny thing about JC is.....well, say we're driving somewhere and we see a pretty girl on the sidewalk, the four of us will go, "Hey check out that girl".....and five minutes later JC will go, "Wow check out that dog. What kind is it?" He's nuts about dogs."-Chris
What advice would you give someone starting a music career? "Don't be afraid to ask for help."
What other artists inspired you? "Sting, Seal, Stevie Wonder, and a million more. "
What makes you blush? "I don't know but it would take a lot."
What are your personal and professional goals? "To be a part of something that I can be proud of."
If you could change anything about yourself what would it be? "I'm very stubborn."
If you had one wish granted to you what would it be? "To live a long and happy life."

What is the most daring thing you have ever done? "Jumped off a two story building. (Stupid really !)"
What is the secret to your success? "Dedication, persistence, and hard work."

What is your favorite piece of clothing to wear? "My leather jacket."
If you had to choose between love, money and fame, which would you choose? "Love. Everything else is OK though."
How do you know if a song is going to be a hit? "You just feel it."
What do you miss the most when you are on the road? "My own bed."
What do you do if you get a sore throat and have to perform? "Gargle salt water and drink warm tea."
