Question: Are Pixie-Bobs good with other animals? Answer: Yes! They are very social cats. They really like the company. Question: Are Pixie-Bobs and Savannah cats safe around children? Answer: YES! I have two small children ages 1 and a half, and 3 and a half, my cats and kittens are fantastic with my kids. They love to play with them. Question: Can Pixie-Bobs get Feline Leukimia? Answer: Yes. Pixie-Bobs are considered to be domestic cats. As we all know, our domestic cats are not safe from this awful disease. Our veterinarian suggests that we vaccinate against this disease. Question: Should I keep my Pixie-Bob/Savannah cat in the house? Answer: YES! There are so many awful things that can happen out there without supervision. Amongst being hit by cars, and hurt from other animals, there is that disease factor as well. Our Feline friends are much safer indoors, or out on a leash! Question: Do I need a special permit to own a Savannah cat? Answer: Check with your local Game and Fish department on regulations for hybrid felines. However, Savannah cats are not permitted in Ct, parts of Tx, and Ga. All others check with your local Fish and Game departments. Question: How large are Savannah Cats? Answer: F-1 Male Savannahs are typically the largest. They can weight anywhere from 12 to 25 pounds. The Savannah cat is the largest hybrid feline in the cat fancy today! Question: Does my Pixie-bob/Savannah cat need a special diet? Answer: Pixie-bobs and Savannahs both do well on a high quality diet such as, Iams or Science Diet foods. You may also feed a high quality wet food as well. Question: How do I purchase a kitten? Answer: Contact us and we can give you all the details. However, we do require a 50% non-refundable holding fee and a signed contract to hold all kittens.
