Midlife Crisis commenced working as a professional cover band in 1993.   Featuring a very experienced line-up, the band confidently performs a broad and diverse range of material selected from classic rock right through to current Top 40 hits.  

Midlife Crisis have performed at many corporate functions including a Gala Ball at the World Trade Centre in Melbourne, as well as supporting top Australian performers such as John St. Peters.

This versatile and flexible musical repertoire guarantees that “Midlife Crisis” can work any place and please anybody.  Midlife Crisis is a band committed to entertainment ensuring that our audience has a great time!

Midlife Crisis - Who are They?

JO BOWER - Vocals

Jo's vocal ability covers a wide range of styles in music leading right up to modern and contemporary rock music.  During her career, she has toured with many bands. Jo has also sung in duos, trios and done some session work and especially enjoys live performances, singing with passion.  With strong vocals and an ability to build rapport with any audience, Jo quickly turns every gig into a party.

KEVIN “MICK” HUGHES - Vocals, Drums and Percussion

Mick has spent the last 20 years performing in various original and commercial bands around Australia including “Not for Sale” and Double-crossed” which did well on the pub circuit. The late 80’s saw Mick performing in Tasmania in “Rockhouse” featuring Lindsay Hammond (ex Cheetah) as well as the Blues Bros. Revival Band which worked in the Casinos and toured regularly. Mick has recently performed on an Album for John Cooney. Experience and a positive personality ensure Mick is committed to good time entertainment.

KEVIN HINDS - Lead Guitar and Vocals

Kevin was very much part of the 1970-80’s original music scene with credits of support to overseas acts such as “Simple Minds”, “Little River Band” and many major Australian acts. As a member of the hard playing Rock and Roll Band “Ginger Mick Band”, Kevin has truly learnt his stuff also having experience in studio/session work.

Present album credits include “Tony Pantano”, with live & session work for “John St. Peters”, Kevin has perfected his own guitar style and is renowned for his improvisational work and biting guitar solos.

STEVE “Chuck” CARTER - Bass guitar and Vocals

With many studio-recording sessions in Sydney during the 80's, Steve has performed with many bands.   His wealth of experience, bass technique and style is outstanding.  Steve has played either with or alongside international acts such as James Reyne, The Angels, Broderick Smith, The Models, Geisha, Scary Bill, Jimmy Barnes and Icehouses’ Iva Davies to name a few.

Music is a must for Steve who gives 110% in every performance. His enthusiasm is evident in every performance.   Steve’s motto: “It’s cool".

KAREN HINDS - Keyboards and Vocals

Karen began playing at the ripe old age of 8 and hasn’t stopped since.  The late 70’s saw her joining originals band “Silent Running” which later became the popular “Ginger Mick Band”.  Other original bands include “Shanghai” before moving into the cover band scene with ‘Azu like it’ and “Ginger Mick II”.

As well as playing with other Musos, Karen has also works as a solo performer and accompanist.   Karen teaches piano but loves playing “live”.
