Only God Can Do Retakes

In movies they do a retake
To fix a big or small mistake.
But in life we can't redo
Our wrongs, much as we might like to.

The first chance is all we will get
To do things right, so don't forget
To make sure that we, in each day
Often pause, and kneel to pray.

For though we might be awful bright
Only God can show us what is right.
Man may be made in his image
We may be smart, have great courage.

But only God is omnipotent
And only God has to us sent
His love, to show to you and me
How best to live our life happy.

So as we travel thru our life
If we want joy, not pain or strife
Bow your head, and stop to pray
You'll enjoy more your every day.

In movies they do a retake
They can thus ignore a mistake.
But we must depend on God above
To show what's right, to bring us love.

But this is not so hard to do
He's always there for me and you.
We only have to bow our head
To banish strife, have joy instead.

In order to be happy, free
And to gain eternity
We only have to pause, and kneel
To get His love, so very real.

So again, I beg of you
If, like me, you want love true
Just pause, and pray to God above
He'll send you joy, and peace, and love.
