What would you do a wound to mend Given by error to a friend? Would you break all your boundaires And go to them on bended knees?
Would you do anything you must To regain this friends' damaged trust? Do you think friendship worth the cost Of personal respect now lost?
Give to them anything at all Just so your friendship will not fall. Friendship so bought is never true Because these friends won't respect you.
In a relationship we make What's seen by friends as a mistake. Good friends will forgive errors made If we our hearts have open laid.
If we feel that we have to buy Their friendship, then it's all a lie. If we must lose what we believe Then it's ourselves that we deceive.
Friendship is something often sought But not a thing that can be bought. If approval from friends we 'need' Then that to addiction does lead.
Just being ourselves with a friend Should to them the right message send. Errors made hurting someone close Should never on beliefs impose.
We all needs friends who will be true And approve of the things we do. Seeking forgiveness from a friend Should not mean we must our rules bend.
No friend is worth loss of self-worth So give those 'friends' a real wide berth. The one you hurt who's a real friend Will to you free forgiveness send.
They will not require you must Pay anything to regain trust. Just honestly say 'I;m sorry' And good friends forgive completely.
