Chapter 4: The Princess

The Princess:
After some time, the group had begun to make a name for itself in the world.
People had begun to openly talk about the Sailor Senshi and Ranger Knights, believing them
to be some "vigilante group, fighting costumed bad-guys", as most people used their rationality
to somehow accept the fact that monsters exist in the world. The threat of chaos and darkness
had begun to diminish as the group took out evil after evil. Soon, the group discovered yet
another Senshi; Neo Sailor Mars, and a new member was added.
It was some time after, though, that soon the rather enlarged group came upon
the girl who quickly turned out to be the daughter of the former queen of the silver kingdom of
the moon. Her name was Mamori Tsukino and she very quickly caught on to the workings of the
rest of the group.
Having found the Princess finally, the group took a collective sigh of relief and
got to the business of swapping their tales of the past that they remembered. Setsuono had
always felt rather... guilty that his mother had not fought at all, and instead had sent the kids
back into the past. After that, Setsuono didn't know exactly what had happened, but figured
that she had, indeed, gotten herself killed, without going down like a true warrior like the
other senshi had. So the group spoke about their "memories" and it wasn't long before Mamori
believed that they could possibly try the "sailor teleport", and maybe pop into the past to get
some answers.
After linking hands, the group concentrated and after a very long and dramatic
while, a burst of energy sent the group spiralling through empty blackness. As they came-to,
the young warriors all realized that they were definately not where they were hoping to be... they
were stuck in the Time Vortex; a place between past, present, and future... a place outside of
time itself. A place where many an up-and-coming Time Guardian had lost their lives. Also, the
group realized that they had become separated from one-another.

Setsuono stood up and looked around. Nikkaro, Mamori, and Honizen. The others
were nowhere in sight, nor were they within his telepathic broadcast-range. Korian lifted herself
from the seeming-ground and caught her breath. Looking around, she saw Hiroshino, Kaminora,
and Haryunetso, and already, she knew the others were in a whole-different-place entirely.
Fushichona, Anrui, and Jikanchi all took deep breaths, and stared straight into the faces of the
knight before them. From their memories, and the connection with the others, it wasn't too difficult
to realize that this was a knight from the 6 kingdoms that had been sent to destroy the moon
kingdom before... Dream Knight.
Koriana stood and began walking. The very world around them was some form of
twisted place, reacting to their memories and re-creating places that shouldn't me. Suddenly, in a
violent wrench, the very area they were in became frozen solid. Ice crystals were everywhere, and
Koriana looked around, shocked. They seemed to be within some sort of ice-cave, and it looked like
there was only one way to go.

Setsuono and the others ran, the creatures were right behind them.
"PURITY PULSE!" cried Nikkaro, letting loose and explosion of light and energy that
sent a bunch of the beasts flying. Still more swarmed forwards. Setsuono grabbed him and kept running.
Soon, they came to a narrow bridge further into the darkness that was the Time Vortex.
"You all go! I'll stay and hold them back! Nikkaro, you stay and shatter the bridge after
you cross it." said Setsuono, gribbing his staff and turning.
"NO! You idiot, why the hell do you always do this!?" roared Nikkaro, balling his hand
into a fist and slamming it into Setsuono's face. "You don't always have to be the hero, so why do you
always try to get yourself killed!?"
"BECAUSE MY MOTHER DIDN'T LIFT A FINGER TO HELP!!" screamed Setsuono, the
tears coming down his face. "She... she just... died. She didn't kill a single person. She was weak... and
I have to avenge the Pluto name. I have to bring honor back... I have to..." he trailed off, as the creatures
crept closer.
"No... Setsuono, you don't have to. You really don't have to do a thing. Don't think that
Setsuna didn't fight. I'm sure she fought in her own way... but you don't have to kill yourself to bring back
honor. As long as you at least TRY to lead... try to..." Setsuono just stood there, the look in his eyes
apparently meant he not only wasn't listening, but that he wasn't going to be moving. "Awww, crap..."
"MOON PRINCESS HELATION!" cried Mamori, sending out a white blast of purity.
"VENUS WINK SWORD!" yelled Honizen, and threw her blade, letting it cut through the
approaching monsters before it flew back to her hand.
Nikkaro grabbed Setsuono and dragged him across the bridge before Honizen and Mamori
followed.
"ANGEL SANCTUARY!" both Nikkaro and Honizen yelled, linking hands. Immediately, the
purest light flowed from them, creating an unassailable force-field around the group.
"Mamori, you need to get him up and running again. We'll hold this steady until you do." said
Nikkaro.

Koriana stood there, yawning, while the others argued.
"I saw, the walls are made of ice, I just melt the ice around this door and we just go around it."
said Heyonetso.
"It's JUST steel, you moron! I should just shatter through it!" cried Kaminora.
"STOP CALLING ME THAT!!" yelled Heyonetso, making a fist.
Koriana suddenly heard a clicking noise and turned, seeing that Hiroshino had actually TRIED
the door handle. The door was unlocked, and the boy pushed the door open, still while the other two were
fighting. Hiroshino and Koriana walked through the open door, when suddenly, they were assaulted by
sudden darkness.
"How.. DARE you come into this hallowed place!?" asked a familiar voice.
"Se-- Setsuono?" asked Koriana, before she was lifted into the air by an unseen force and
thrown into the wall behind her. That's when Heyo popped into the room.
"You guys! Kami's--" he suddenly paused as the darkness began to clear. There, in the air,
floated Ranger Knight Pluto. Around his fists crackled dark energy.
"Mars POWER!"
"Mercury, Power!"
"Jupiter POWER!" cried Hiroshino, Koriana, and Haryunetso together.
"Hahaha, you think a couple parlor tricks of your transformed states will stop me?" asked Pluto,
chuckling to himself. "MIND WARP!"
Rings of psionic energy flew down from Pluto and engulfed the three of them. Mercury fell to
the ground, almost unconscious. Blood dripped from her ears and she couldn't concentrate at all. Mars cried
out in pain and confusion. He couldn't form a single thought that the pain didn't immediately void out. Hiroshino,
on the other hand, was merely a bit dazed from the attack, his mind not being advanced enough for the attack
to take much effect.
"PINE SHOWER!" cried Hiroshino, spinning and lifting his hands into the air. Spikes of
concentrated electricity errupted from his body and all blew at Pluto.
"MENTAL BARRIER!" laughed Pluto, errecting a barrier of force. As soon as it had absorbed
the electric attack, he watched as Mars began to regain his composure. "BARRIER BEAM!" he said, letting all the
gather electricity fly at Hiroshino. The boy took the blast of his own attack and fell to the floor. He immediately
began to stand back up.
"PHOENIX FLIGHT!" roared Mars, letting loose an off-target attack. He was still dizzy, and his attack
would have completely missed, but Pluto would have none of that.
"REPLAY!" the fire beast froze in midair, and immediately flew back, slamming into Mars' chest.
"Are none of you strong enough to take on the might of Dark Pluto?" asked Pluto.
"Saturn... power..." came the whisper into the room. Immediately, there was an explosion of power,
as a new senshi was awakened. The explosion took Pluto by surprise, and even as he looked to see where the
power had come from, there came a wave of power that threw him out of the air. Kaminora's three allies were healed
as the dark immitation of Pluto was destroyed.
There, in the doorway, stood a new senshi who had not been seen before by any of the assembled
warriors. Yet her eyes... she was apparently...
"Kami? Kaminora?" asked Hiroshino, getting to his feet.
"Kaminora? I-- that is her name... this vessel... I, however... I am Neikanredi. I am the soldier of rebirth.
I am Saturn." whispered the warrior, before she fell to the ground, her transformation fuku immediately vanishing to be
replaced by Kaminora's street clothes.

Setsuono and the others slowly walked into the open area. The creatures behind them were finally
destroyed, as the four of them came together and used their powers to destroy the lot of them. Setsuono was still in a
weird daze, but at least he was responding to the outside world. There, in the center of the clearing were the others.
Hiroshino held his sister in his arms, and Koriana ran up to Setsuono, planting a kiss on his lips. The two suddenly pulled
apart, both very embarassed to show such emotion. Anrui strode up to the others.
"We met up this man, his name's Yumei. He's from the attack force that-- well... he's ok. He's good." he said,
motioning to Dream Knight. The knight then explained how he was lied to... how he was decieved
by Shadow Knight in the life before now. He had been trapped here in the Time Vortex on the trip through. Shadow Knight had
left him to fend for himself. Yumei had spent only a few days here before the Senshi had suddenly appeared.
"My guess is that since the time vortex was basically unused for all this time, the time here slowed to a crawl. So while we spent
years and years growing up, Yumei was only here for a couple days." remarked Setsuono.
"Well, anyhow, I found a way through." said Jikanchi, raising her own staff. The garnet at the end glowed. "It took
me a while, but it looks like I figured out how to manipulate the time streams here."

There was a flash of light... and there they were, on the moon kingdom. A group of people waved to them from
the bottom of a hill, right outside the gates of Crystal Tokyo.
As the group approached... they realized who they were. They were the Senshi of the past... their parents.

"Honey, you must know the truth," began Setsuna. "I gave my life... I gave my life to save all of you. I broke the
rules, but in doing so, I allowed the rest of you to live. I don't mind that you may think that I was weak and that I didn't fight, but
if it means saving your life and the life of your sister and the other princes and princesses of the moon kingdom... well, it was
worth it. I knew you were coming, and I also know what my future holds, but you must understand that it is the way of things. You
cannot change what has already been written. This is the past, and all of us know the truth. All of us know what it means to face
the future. We've done our share of fighting, and now it's your turn."

The others returned to their own assembled places together, all having spoken with their parents. Mamori nodded
and her mother raised her arm in synch with her, and in a dazzling burst of brilliance, the group was back in the real world, now
with Dream Knight added to their ranks.
