1. Many People Are Religious
In the past most people were religious. It is still common for people to worship someone or something greater than themselves. If you are religious, you are like many others. Special buildings (from simple to complicated), unusual types of clothing, and special behaviors are some of the signs of the religious nature of humankind. Even if you do not consider yourself religious, you may wonder if there is a creator-God.

2. Religious People May Not Know God
Even though many people have some kind of religion, they may still desire to personally know this unknown �God� who made the world and everything in it. The Creator-God is actually ruler over all of the universe. He does not live in man-made buildings, no matter how expensive. In fact, He doesn�t need anything from mankind to live. Instead He gives everyone all that they have plus life itself.

3. God Wants People to Know Him in a Personal Way
God started with one man. From that man He made all nations and tribes. He decided when and where they would live and even the kind of language each would speak. He made people so that each one might look for Him and hopefully find Him . He is near to all of us. We may even be called �His children� because all that we are and all that we have comes from Him.

4. People Must Respond to God Correctly to Know Him
Because we are really God�s children, we should not think that God is like a man-made image of gold, silver, or stone. In the past God overlooked such views, but now He is telling everyone to turn away from these false ideas. He has planned a day when He will correctly judge all the people of the world. In His desire to convince people of this coming day of judgement, He brought the judge back to life after he died. Based on Acts 17:22-29
