Soo...it's been about a thousand years since I was online last and about an eternity since I last posted. Yep, I'm a real nurse now. I've been at it off of orientation for about 4 months now and let's just say I've laughed, I've cried, I've yelled, and I've laughed some more. I spend my days off either catching up on sleep or attempting to cath up with real life. I've lost 5 pounds since September on the "nurse's diet" which consists of a strict diet and exercise regimen. First you get up really early in the morning and drink coffee on your drive to work. Second you run around for 8-12 hours like a crazy person on speed. Third, you watch the time fly by (as well as any thought of taking a lunch break). Four, you go home so exhausted that you're darn lucky if you can get that fork up to your mouth for more than four bites. And that's it in a nutshell. Happy new year!

So it's been awhile. What can I say? I'm just a non-updating-turd. Yeah, so my state boards are in two days. I"ve been studying for the past 5 days like a mad woman. OCD studying as I like to call it. Let's just see how many darn practice questions I can fit into a week's time. Can I learn every single cardiac arrythmia just in case one might be on the exam? No, but I can sure as heck try! How about meds..just throw one out..if i dont know it I will be looking it up in about 5 seconds and have an answer for ya in 7. Now, I find it semi hard to imagine actually failing this test, but it's a definite possibility. And that would just blow. Cuz then I'd have to do this whole crazy thing all over again :P
