This painting of the church of NOTRE-DAME-DE-QUÉBEC from the 'Musée de Québec' illustrates the way it looked on May 14, 1759 when Michel Pitre married Marie-Josephe Orillon.
Their wedding took place only a few months before the church was destroyed in the attack on Quebec City.
The painting shows the church after it was rebuilt following the original architectural plans.
