The BRR are set to have a new mascot revealed in June 2001.

" Sometimes, these things happen a week or 2 earlier than expected, but the official launch of the new BRR mascot is set tentatively for June 30th, 2001", said BRR GM Brian Houle excitedly. "It's been a long time coming and the BRR family are truly excited and thrilled at this new development."

In a stunning development, Chief Scout Barry Jon Jo Jarry was fired for being, well, basically, a jackass.

"B3J, as he was known here, was fired today because he didn't inform the team that 2 supposedly key players recently disappeared.  Marko Tuomaninen and Johan Garpenlov are nowhere to be found.  Rumour has it that they eloped together, but this is not confirmed, " sighed Brian Houle, BRR GM.  "This has ultimately hurt our team and is a direct cause for a lacklustre start for the 'Kill considering these were 2 of our 10 starters."

No replacement has been called at this time.  Speculation is that Carol Alt will be named as a possible replacement, but this is only after her current superstar? Alexei "I-have-no-honour-and-will-not-report-to-camp" Yashin retires.  This is when she typically dumps her husbands/boyfriends and searches for current players.  Puck Bunnyism at its best.
