| Rumble In The Bronx (1993) Cast:Jackie Chan,Anita Mui,Francoise Yip Chan stars as a foreigener who finds himself under siege when he starts kicking around mobsters after diamonds in this poor and very badly dubbed disaster.. Mindless, lame and just plain stupid Rumble In The Bronx suffers from a light weight feeling and horrid dubbing which far overshadow some of the impressive actionscenes, although it does indeed have it's moments in the fights, it's nothing all that special when compared to some of Chan's Hong Kong classics which this one fails to even come close to. Those who like this probably haven't seen Police Story and therefore that is why it gets such a good rap. But honestly aside from some of the worst acting and horrific comic scenes, Rumble In The Bronx is just lame.The kid in this movie is also utterly irritating. Sure the climax is good but when compared to Police Story or Supercop this is just a terrible movie, so please avoid it. As a hugefan of Jackie Chan I have to say I rate this as one of his lamest, if not one of his greatest disappointments.D.Stanley Tong * |
