Killing Streets (1991)

Cast:Michael Pare, Lorenzo Lamas

Pare stars as a gym-teacher who goes to Iraq (Or somewhere in the middle east, the details are sketchy) to save his twin brother who has been captured by arab terrorists in this disappointing actioner.

Sadly Lamas doesn't play an arab terrorist, because it would be quite funny seeing him attempt an accent, however instead we get his Texan accent and although it draws a few unintentional laughs, this is very dull stuff indeed. Pare seems bored with the overall story and one is half the time wondering how a gym-teacher could be tough enough to fight terrorists when his marine brother fails. It's all stupid and unfortunately very dull which is a deadly combo especially for those looking for entertainment. Indeed this movie has to be one of Pare's worst movies, right down there with
Eddie and The Cruisers II:Eddie Lives, Lamas on the other hand, this is actually one of his better made movies. It's sad to say that his most well made movie would be so awesomely dull. Awful. D.Stephen Cornwell *
