| The Final Inquiry (2007) Cast:Danielle Liotti, Dolph Lundgren, Monica Cruz, F. Murray Abraham, Max Von Shydow A roman soldier played by Danielle Liotti, is sent to Jerusalem, to investigate the death of Jesus and whether he came back to live, or if it was all a hoax. Dolph Lundgren is the captured barbarian turned bodyguard of Liotti who defends him from the corrupt Jewish priests and random bad guys in the desert in this giant mess of a film. After a string of three decent movies, the new Dolph Lundgren flick is a christian movie regarding religion and a really dull love angle. The Final Inquiry has an interesting idea and with such, much potential was had. Of course the movie never comes together and everything feels like an afterthought. The movie has very little knowledge on what it has to say and the movie just goes through the motions. The action sequences which are there to satisfy Dolph Lundgren fans are lame, really lame. In fact they rival bad 80s sword and sorcery Z-grade crap like Warrior and The Sorcereress, the movie just doesn't work and all that the movie has going for it is that the acting is okay and that sometimes the film works as camp. It's an awful film and though it certainly is better than most religious-themed movies it is still not worth your time.. The film does have some unintentionally hilarious moments, so there is that and Dolph isn't too bad, other than that I draw blanks on what else keeps the viewer from nodding off from this boring dross..
