| Diamond Dogs (2007) Cast:Dolph Lundgren, Nan Zu, William Shriver Dolph Lundgren stars as a bald mercenary who takes an offer he can't refuse for a rich businessman who wants Dolph to deliver an artifact to a safe place while all types of bad guys and snipers take shots at Dolph in this routine and utterly predictable Indiana Jones rip off. Dolph Lundgren is so ungainly looking with his ridiculous buzz cut and the boring story arcs that we feel his pain. Indeed this movie has a few okay action sequences but the film is just so bland and lifeless that you can't even hate it because there is absoluately nothing of substance to hate or like. This is a fairly lame effort and it lacks the scale to match its ambitions. I just don't have any idea of how to write this review for this flick. It's dumb, Lundgren is the best actor in the cast, the action sequences are okay but rarely exciting and the film just is just so uninspired. Recommended solely for die hard Lundgren fans but this film is likely to disappoint them greatly. D.Shimon Dotan** |
