the only album the group released during their two-year career, it was voted #17 out of one hundred on vh1's best rock'n'roll albums. even if you're not a fan of punk/sex pistols, you should have this album. never mind the bollocks, here's the sex pistols was released in late 1977, and quickly became a best-seller in britain. even though much of the album was made up of singles ('anarchy in the u.k.,' 'god save the queen,' etc.), the album stands as a sneering declaration of the time. even all these years later, it has the same raw outrageousness and power that it had when it was first unleashed in england. go buy it. now. tracks: holidays in the sun bodies no feelings liar problems god save the queen seventeen anarchy in the u.k. submission pretty vacant new york emi if you're ever in a situation where, say, you're interested in the pistols and come across their section and find a shitload of bootlegs and live albums and are confused on which to buy, BUY THIS. there are good bootlegs and other albums, but this is the album to get first. so get off your ass and go! |
