| Pathfinder Pistoleros (Cowboy Action ShootingTM) *** NOTICE *** First SUNDAY of the Month starting @ 8:30 Cowboy Action Shooting. Howdy Folks, I have a special requests for our Pathfinder Members and Pistolero Shooters. A couple of months ago Pathfinders sadly decided to cancel our Sportsman Days event due to the resignation of the organizer. As in the past several charities were scheduled to be the benefactors from different parts of this event. During our last meeting I proposed and it was unanimously carried, to allow the total funds collected during our October Pistolero shoot to be used to support the Oswego County DARE program. This money will be used to purchase tee shirts and support other items that are drastically needed by this program. If you have been waiting to make another shoot or bring out a friend . This is the time. I hope to see a solid turn out for this event. Additional donations welcomed� Please add the date to your calendar 10/06/02 Registration starts at 8:30 AM and ends at 9:30 AM. What are you waiting for take advantage of the unique opportunity to join in on the fun of the fastest growing shooting sport in the nation. If you have not yet checked it out, come out and see why we draw shooters from all over the North East. Make the short drive to your �home club� and start shooting with the other Pathfinder Members already promoting the Spirit of the Old West. Shoot contestants compete with firearms typical of those used in the taming of the Old West: single action revolvers, lever action rifles, and side by side double barreled, pre-1899 pump, or lever action shotguns. The shooting competitions have been staged in a unique, characterized, "Old West" style. American history buffs and serious shooters alike agree the use of vintage firearms, authentic costuming, unique targets, and fast action make Cowboy Action ShootingTM one of the most interesting of all shooting sports. Be transformed back to a time when the �Old West� was a way of life. Shooting events will be held first Sunday of the month April though November. Registration starts @ 8:30. The club is now SASS affiliated so we will be in the Cowboy Chronicle and on the national web site www.sassnet.com. Safety First, Last, and Always� shooters and spectators must wear safety glasses and earplugs.
