History of the Pathfinder Pistoleros
In the beginning
The Pathfinder Pistoleros were started by a group of cowboys from area clubs looking for another opportunity to shoot.  We were supported and worked with other clubs in the area to have a wagonload of fun promoting the Spirit of the Old West.

We approached the Pathfinder Fish and Game Club about starting Cowboy Action Shooting during January 2001 and were welcomed with open arms.  This is a very nice club with facilities for Trap, Skeet, 5-Stand, Archery, and Pistol.  The Pathfinder Pistoleros presented another opportunity for the club to expand its offerings with CAS (Cowboy Action Shooting TM)

The work then began Building props & targets, writing scenarios, all of this while reloading ammo so we would be ready for another year of fun.  I would like to extend a special thanks to Sonny and Ox Apple sac for the endless hours, as well as all others who participated in the Building of the equipment, setup, and teardown of shoots.

So that is how we got started

Pathfinder Fish and Game Club has pistol pits offering a safe and creative environment to shoot CAS. Pathfinder Pistoleros brings New York State another unique opportunity to join in on the fun of the fastest growing shooting sport in the nation. Come out to the club on the first Sunday of the month (April thru November) and have a wagonload of fun promoting the Spirit of the Old West
The stages have been set, and all new props have been built, all that is needed to have a great time is you.  We are looking for Cowboys and Cowgirls who would like to have an additional place to shoot so load up your wagon and round up your pards and head out to our club.

Be transformed back to a time when the Old West was a way of life.
