After the untimely death of his beloved young wife Ida, Randal married Martha Walker in Harrison Co., AR. Ten years after his marriage to Martha we find that he has taken wife #3 - Mrs. Mary Toy. The marriage lasted less than 1 year & he met & married Mrs. Mary Davenport Jones - besides her 3 children, the couple had a son,
Thomas Jefferson Lane.
Randal was a man on many 'hats'. Some occupations that we have leanred of were serving as US Marshal in Harrison Co., AR before the turn of the century; when this was done (after the marriage of wife #2 we find he was a butcher in Imboden, AR; however one occupation that was ever present & demanding was blacksmithing.
