John resided in Williford, AR & was taken to St. Bernard's hospital in Jonesboro, Craighead Co., AR When he became ill. he was attended by H. H. Meadows, M.D. at the time of his death on June 29,1927. He had entered the St. Bernard's Hospital in Jonesboro, AR 2 days prior for an operation (some family members say it was on his foot).The cause of death was Diabetes Gangrene. A test to confirm this diabetic condition revealed sugar in his urine 3+++.
He was 66 years old, his wife Mollie gave the personal/family information - it appears that she did not know his mother's name or where he was born.
He is buried at Janes Cemetery in Ravenden (Springs), Arkansas. |
