| Children of Phillip WHITE & Eleanor Jane LANE To date I have not found Eleanor Jane LANE WHITE BROWN in the 1900 or 1910 census records of Randolph or Lawrence County, AR. These particular censes may hold the key to linking her with the children from her 2nd marriage to John H. Brown, whom she married in the spring of 1887. All of their children were born within the decade of 1890 - 1900. Her son, Jake White, would have been 16y/o in 1900! 1. Thomas Lee White was born 18 Jan 1879 near Dalton, Randolph Co., AR. He died 8 May 1965 & is buried in Brownie Cemetery in neighboring Green Co., AR. The cemetery is north of Delaplaine, AR. About 1903 Thomas married Cordie FOREHAND.Thomas and Cordie had three children: Leonard b. 1 Sep 1904, Carmel and Marie. [I found Thomas, Cordie & Leonard enumerated in Portia Lawrence Co., AR during the 1910 census taking.] 2. Bilbrey Newton White, b. 22 Jan 1881 in Randolph Co., AR. He died 12 Apr 1963 and is buried in the Masonic Cemetery in Pocahontas, Randolph Co., AR. He married Annie Laura JAMES on 6 July 1905 in Randolph Co., AR. The couple had four children: Beatrice, Pauline, Russell and Woodrow. [1910 Bilbrey & his young family resided in Bristow Twp., in Randolph Co., AR; 1920 & 1930 he was found in Wiley Twp, Randolph Co., AR.] 3. Maud Catherine White, b. 4 Mar 1883 in Randolph Co., AR. She died 29 Apr 1972; buried in the Dry Creek Cemetery [located on the east side of Hwy 361, one mile south of Lynn] Lawrence Co., AR. She was first married to Jess BROWN about 1900 [accoding to census data]. The couple raised a foster child, Gertie, who was the 1/2 sister of Clementine, Maudie's brother Jake's wife.]. Their only child together was a son named Harry Neil Brown. [The family moved to Missouri, when Jess BROWN learned of work during the early days of the depression, on the Bagnell Dam project. Jess, Maud & Harry were found in the 1930 Franklin Twp., Miller Co., MO census records. By the spring of 1931, Jess BROWN met his end in a fire in Bagnell - his body was identified only due to a ring given him by his wife Maude.] Maudie married (2) Earl McGINNIS by Sept 1931. She helped raise his children: Virginia, Mazola, Walton & Dalton McGinnis. 4. Jacob White, b. 4 Apr 1884 in Randolph Co., AR, d. 27 Mar 1955 [poss in California]. He married Clementine MYRICK in 1904 in Randolph Co., AR. The couple had three children: Irving, Fannie & Cleo. [In 1910, found Jake & his young family living in Reyno Twp., Randolph Co., AR - he was 25y/o - this was also the only mention of their daughter, Fannie, who was 2y/o.She is not listed in the 1920 records with the family. 1930, I could not located the family living in Randolph or Lawrence Co., AR - they might have migrated to California to find work in the early days of the depression.] |
