The aftermath of a violent storm flooded several rivers and left the historic Pisgah Bridge in Asheboro, NC in pieces on August 10, 2003. The flooding swelled the river 14 feet above normal and swept the structure 100 feet downstream. The community has since rebuilt the bridge and is still one of the nicest attractions in Randolph County. |
