Quaker Chewy choc-oat-chip Cookies
1 cup (2 sticks) margarine, softened
1-1/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1-3/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon salt (optional) I usually don't put in
2-1/2 cups Quick Quaker oats
1-12 ounce pkg (2 cups) choc. chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Heat oven to 375. �Beat together margarine & sugars until creamy. �Add eggs, milk & vanilla; beat well. �Add combined flour, baking soda & salt; mix well. �Stir in oats, choc. chips & nuts; mis well. �Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. �Bake 9 to 10 minutes for a chewy cookie or 12 to 13 minutes for a crisp cookie. �Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet, remove to wire rack. �Makes about 4-1/2 dozen.
