"My helmet design is a funny evolution. I started out in one direction, and slowly for some reason I started modifying it, a bit here and there and in the end it is what it is. I had a couple of different designs, and then it just developed from there. It's just a pretty pattern, I did it myself. At one time it had more orange on the helmet, and had "Piket" spelt wrong at one time. Later it was darker, because I was repainting the helmet with a spray can in the toilet of a hotel room, and I mixed up the colours and I put red in one place and black in another when it should have been vice-versa and after that I just left it.
