Benefits and Advantages of Losing Weight
Okay - it's almost December, 2001.  My 46th birthday will be here in just a couple of weeks.  So far, I have lost 52 lbs, and have dropped my BMI by almost 10 points. (At 236 lbs, I started with a BMI of 42 - after I lose 1 more lb, my BMI will be 32! )

So - what are some of the benefits that I have seen so far from losing weight, now that I've passed the halfway point of my journey?

**  My doctor has agreed to reduce the dosage of one of my stronger blood   pressure medications in half, as a test.

**  I no longer snore at night.

**  I no longer have the painful ache of hemmorrhoids.

**  I can walk for more than 5 minutes without getting tired, and huffing and   puffing.

**  My feet no longer ache from the simplest walking, such as when I have to do the shopping.

**  This past summer my thighs weren't all chafed, from rubbing together.

**  I also rarely got that perspiration rash under my breasts.

**  I am now fitting into size 14 clothing - outfits that have hung in my closet unworn for the last 10 - 12 years.

**  I can walk up and down the stairs to the second floor, without my knees (or ankles and hips) creaking!

**  I can sit in our plastic lawn chairs without squishing myself past the armrests, and can get up from the chair, without it coming along with me !

**   It is now easier to put on the seatbelt, if I have to sit in the backseat of the car.

**  I can put on pantihose again, after a "pantihose strike" of almost 8 years.

**  I can trim, and paint my toenails again.

**  It's easier to get in and out of the bathtub.

CENSORED........

**  Last week, for the first time, I felt comfortable "hovering over" DBF,straddling his body,  as I was kissing his legs, tummy, chest..... I've never been "on top" before  (with him) !
