P.I.
Rebel is, among other things, a highly socially/politically charged band that
deals with issues ranging from racism to the degeneraion of the youth of America.
It is this aura of controversy and high-voltage issues that is the premise for
the P.I.R. Website header. So, if you are interested, check out each part of
the header individually to get a better understanding of what P.I.R. is all
about.
The
Donkey and the Elephant were included in the header for the obvious reason that
they represent the two major politial parties in the US today. Because of the
political nature of the band, it was important to include these symbols.
All
of the above, whether a person or a symbol, represents the race wars that have
occured both in the past and in current times. Racism is one of the worst evils
that the world has encountered throughout history, and, in our opinion, will
sustain itself throughout time. These images remind us both of the ugliness
in the world, and what courage in the face of this evil can accomplish.

This
picture of an assassinated John F. Kennedy reminds us of the power of our words.
Whatever you believe about the manner in which JFK was killed, most can attest
to the fact that his radical vision and outspoken nature lent to his death.
Is
anything better than WWII propaganda? Not only does it give me a chuckle, it
serves as a reminder that the Government is constantly trying to win over US
citizens and influence the manner in which they think.
For
now, we will leave this one a mystery. All that needs to be said is that the
man who runs a division of this organization needs to go. Every second he is
in charge, he is endangering the youth of America.

All
of these symbols represent the youth of our nation, and what they have become.
While AOL is simply there because of its prevalence in our society and not because
of a gripe we have with it, MTV and the condom-wall are another story. MTV has
been in the business of selling my generation a nice packaged version of garbage.
Not only is the music sub-par (for the most part), MTV has taken it upon themselves
to be the liberal enforcers of our time. MTV needs to stop poisoning the young
people of America, shut up, and play some decent music. The condoms are there,
not because we are Catholic (we're not) and oppose birth control, but is there,
rather, to serve as a reminder of the sexual attitude that American youths seem
to have about sex; namely that it is to be thrown around whenever horny and,
above all, just have a good time.
On
one hand you have George W. Bush (who we liked even before the attatcks) and
on the other Osama. This is a study in contrasts.
The
Esthiopian flag on the left is meant to symbolize the Rastafarian religion.
Coupled with Gandhi, these two represent a religious devotion and fervor that
we admire. While we are neither Rastafarian nor Hindu, all men should look to
these pepople as models of the enthusiasm with which we should all approach
our personal convictions.
This
is an amalgamtion between an actual picture of the sun and an artists rendering
of Jesus Christ. Joined together we are reminded of the power and light with
which Jesus lived his life and now offers us.
