Any cut of steak can work, but upper blade is good. Season your steak as you normally would. Cover steak with flour. In a large skillet, fry your steak just to get it brown (not to fully cook it). Place fried steak in a casserole dish that has a lid. Cover steak with mushroom gravy. Then add water. Cover the dish then place in the oven on 325 degrees. Bake at 325 degrees until fully cooked or to your liking. Boil rice five minutes before taking out steak. Serve steak beside or over rice and enjoy. You could also cook the rice ahead of time and bake it under the steak and gravy in the casserole dish.
Chicken Alternative 1 package chicken Chicken legs are good with this recipe, but any cut, with or without bones works well. You cook it the exact same way as the steak, or you can boil your chicken, and then take it off the bone. Boil your rice in the same water as the chicken. When the rice is about done, add your cream of chicken soup and the chicken pieces. Stir well and let simmer for a few minutes. Then you have yourself another tasty meal.
